We are pleased to announce that Kirstin Jensen has joined the HHHBA Team as the new Planner of Policy and Government Relations. Originally from Niagara-on-the-Lake, Kirstin has completed her Masters of Planning in Urban Development from Ryerson University, as well as a Masters of Arts in Political Science from McMaster University, concentrating in Canadian Politics and Public Policy. In addition to her post-graduate studies, she also has an Honours BA from Brock University, where she majored in Political Science with a minor in Criminology. She is a Candidate Member with the Ontario Professional Planners Institute and the Canadian Institute of Planners. Before joining HHHBA, Kirstin was a Planner 1 with the City of St. Catharines where she was employed for two years.
Her interests include planning policy, land use planning and development, community revitalization as well as public engagement. She also has a vested interest in New Urbanism. Kirstin’s role is to ensure HHHBA provides quality representation of our members when it comes to policy and legislative changes affecting development. As project manager of the many policy files affecting the industry and being addressed by the Association, she will monitor emerging municipal government legislation, policy changes, regulations and by-laws and other matters, both within the Hamilton-Halton areas and to some extent the Provincial legislative framework. Kirstin will be the key provider of appropriate research and position papers on topics of interest/concern to our members, and ensure that policy/GR related communications with HHHBA members is maintained on a regular basis.  
Kirstin currently lives in St. Catharines. In her free time she plays soccer and coaches a Female Youth Soccer Team and Varsity Figure Skating with Brock University.
