Membership Categories
WE HBA membership is held at the business level and covers your company and staff under a single annual fee. Members select the category that best reflects their business activities within the residential construction and renovation industry.
There are four membership categories to choose from:
Builder / Developer Membership
This category is intended for companies actively engaged in residential home building and or land development within the West End market.
Builder and Developer members are typically involved in the construction and sale of new homes, subdivisions, multi-unit residential projects, or mixed-use developments. Membership provides access to advocacy, government relations, industry intelligence, and networking opportunities specific to the residential construction sector.
This membership includes one ticket to Builder’s Night.
Please note that Builder and Developer members are required to contribute to the mandatory Consumer Protection Fund, which supports advocacy efforts on behalf of the industry. This fee is not included in the base membership cost and is calculated separately based on a three-year average of units built or developed.
Renovator Membership
This category is designed for businesses primarily engaged in residential renovation, remodeling, and home improvement work.
Renovator members may include general contractors, renovation companies, and specialty trades focused on upgrading, restoring, or expanding existing residential properties. This membership provides access to industry education, networking, advocacy, and involvement opportunities tailored to the renovation sector.
Associate Membership
Associate membership is intended for businesses that support the residential construction and renovation industry but are not directly responsible for building or renovating homes.
This category includes manufacturers, suppliers, service providers, consultants, designers, financial institutions, and other professionals who work closely with builders and renovators. Associate members benefit from visibility, networking, sponsorship opportunities, and engagement with industry decision-makers across the West End.
U35 Entrepreneur Membership
The U35 Entrepreneur membership is an introductory category for non-builder entrepreneurs who are under 35 years of age and have been in business for fewer than five years.
This category is ideal for early-stage business owners looking to establish industry connections, build credibility, and engage with the residential construction and renovation community. The U35 rate is available for the first two years of membership, after which the member will transition to either a Renovator or Associate membership, depending on their business type.
Membership Dues
*Membership fees are billed on a calendar-year basis, with renewals taking place each January. Event tickets and registrations are not included in membership dues and are billed separately.

Your application is reviewed and approved by the WE HBA board.
Prior to joining the WE HBA, you’ll be required to:
- Provide an application sponsor (a member of the OHBA or CHBA)
- Provide two business references (a member of the OHBA or CHBA)
- Provide a New Home Warranty Number (builder members only)
- Agree to uphold the WE HBA Code of Ethics
