Giving back to the community is an important part of who we are at the West End Home Builders' Association. Our members actively donate their time, expertise, and resources to support families and organizations across the West End. WE HBA continues to strengthen its community presence through ongoing initiatives and partnerships, and we remain dedicated to making a lasting, positive impact locally.

WE HBA 2025 CHARITY OF CHOICE
The West End Home Builders' Association has worked closely with our partners to support the capital campaign of Keaton's House Paul Paletta Children's Hospice with a $10,000 donation in both 2023 and 2024. WE HBA is working with our members and community leaders across the Greater Hamilton area to make a difference in the lives of children in palliative care and their devoted families through our support of the capital campaign. HOLIDAY TOY DRIVE
During the Holiday Season, the WE HBA hosts its annual Toy Drive and Social, where those in attendance bring a new, unwrapped toy for needy children in our community. The new toys are donated to City Kidz, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children living in the inner city.

YWCA DONATION
In 2022, we made major steps towards supporting the YWCA in Hamilton and donated $10,000 to help support the build fund of the Putman Family YWCA, Hamilton's first affordable permanent housing residence for single and mother-led families.
MOHAWK COLLEGE BURSARY AWARD
For ten years, the WE HBA had awarded a bursary to a deserving Mohawk College student. The funds were aimed at assisting outstanding graduates of the Construction and Renovation Technician programs in launching their own construction or renovation company. WE HBA also partnered with the Mohawk College Foundation to create a $50,000 endowment fund to support students enrolled in skilled trades programs at the College.

ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
The WE HBA Annual Golf Tournament is one of our most popular member events, bringing together more than 200 members each year for a day of networking and friendly competition.
In past years, the tournament also raised funds for the Presidential Charity of Choice, supporting organizations such as Good Shepherd, Mohawk College, and others. The association and its U40 group have also previously contributed to student bursaries through the Building Construction/Renovator program at Mohawk College.
