The West End Home Builders’ Association is pleased to highlight Dani Gabriele as Chair of the association for 2026.

With deep roots in the residential construction industry and nearly a decade of involvement with WE HBA, Dani brings experienced leadership focused on improving housing affordability and choice.

A Longstanding Connection to the Industry

Dani’s connection to home building began early. Growing up in a family deeply involved in the industry, housing was a constant topic of conversation and curiosity. That connection became hands-on at a young age. As Dani explains, “I started working at Marz Homes when I was 14, in the design studio, and seeing homeowners excited to bring their vision to life really stuck with me.”

That early exposure shaped not only her career path, but also her perspective on responsibility, quality, and pride in what builders deliver. Today, as Director of Operations at Marz Homes, Dani oversees a wide range of functions including operations, sales and marketing, customer care, design, and development. The diversity of her role reflects what she values most about the industry: its complexity, its constant evolution, and the opportunity to keep learning.

Growing Through WE HBA

Dani started with WE HBA in 2018 and quickly became more involved beyond attending events. After serving on committees and councils, she was invited to join the Board of Directors in 2019, marking the start of a deeper commitment to industry advocacy and leadership.

Her involvement with the Association has been a defining part of her professional growth. “Being involved with WE HBA was single-handedly the best decision I could have made in my career,” Dani says.

Through WE HBA, she gained exposure to a wide range of perspectives across the industry. “You’re introduced to different perspectives, you’re sharing market information, and you’re learning constantly. I always walk out of meetings having learned something new.” Over time, these conversations and connections evolved into trusted professional relationships and, in many cases, lasting friendships, underscoring the value of an engaged and connected membership.

Learning at the Board Level

Serving on the WE HBA Board further shaped Dani’s leadership approach and strategic mindset. Board participation offered a different lens on decision-making and governance, complementing her operational role at Marz Homes.

“Being on a board teaches you to think big picture, ask the right questions, and understand decisions beyond the day-to-day,” she notes. This perspective has informed how she approaches leadership both within the Association and within her own organization, reinforcing the importance of balance between long-term strategy and practical execution.

Leadership Grounded in Accountability and Quality

At the core of Dani’s leadership philosophy is accountability. She believes builders have a responsibility to stand behind their work, deliver quality housing, and remain accessible to the communities they serve. For Dani, leadership means being proud of the product, addressing concerns directly, and ensuring homeowners feel heard and supported throughout the process.

This principle extends to her view of industry advocacy. Dani is clear-eyed about the pressures currently facing the housing sector, noting that “municipal red tape, attainability, and consumer confidence are major roadblocks we’re facing right now.” In her view, progress depends on alignment across industry, municipalities, and all levels of government, with collaboration serving as the foundation for meaningful change.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As Chair in 2026, Dani is focused on strengthening collaboration, continuing constructive dialogue with municipal partners, and ensuring the Association remains a credible, solutions-oriented voice in the housing conversation.

Her leadership reflects both respect for the legacy of those who came before her and a forward-looking approach to the evolving needs of the industry. With a strong foundation built through experience, mentorship, and active involvement, Dani is well positioned to guide WE HBA through the opportunities and challenges ahead.
